Candy:
Although there is really good sugar cane taffy here, not at all enough M&Ms. No York peppermint patties, or Twizlers. How do the people live like that? ). Definitely no Halloween.
America: all candies are plentiful
Winner America
Toys:
America: Beanie Boos (for those who don’t know, my fav stuffed animal of all time) are plentiful. So are webkinz. Ect.
Ecuador: Nope not beanie boos Well the replacement is alpaca toys. Not nearly as cute. I mean no webkinz too. No shopkins. No toy that I truly love.
Winner America
Desserts:
America: desserts are great. But cacao is definitely not grown there. Although chocolate chip cookies are not as scarce as they are in Ecuador.
Ecuador: Mindo’s chocolate is to die for! It is sooooo good! Brownies are superb! They grow cacao there too. Awesome!
Winner: Ecuador
Fruits
Ecuador: As most of you know that I love Fruit. Ecuador has every fruit I’ve ever heard of! Although seedless watermelons and grapes don’t exist, there are so many great fruits! Papaya, fresh mangos, passion fruit, Taxo, this weird sour fruit, green oranges, orange lemons, figs, Ect.
America: Although there are cherries, most bananas come from Ecuador. Less fruits than in Ecuador, that’s for sure.
Winner: Ecuador
Adventures:
Ecuador: it’s so pretty here in Ecuador. There are clear lakes, volcanoes, zip lining, horseback riding in the mountains, hikes, and many other things
America: School, skiing, hiking, biking, and other stuff like that.
Winner: Ecuador
Friends:
America: I have great friends who actually speak English. We can have sleepovers, play dates, and recess where we understand each other. No language barrier at all.
Ecuador: Not that many friends so far. Although sometimes we watercolor with other children, no really nice friends like in America. I mean I still have my sisters!
Winner: America I promise I’ll write a few soon. (Send care packages if possible)!
I miss you so much Julia ???
